Exhibiting in France
Supporting creative ideas.
I’m happy for my image ‘Sheepcote on the cliff’ to have been chosen to exhibit with The Little Barn Retreat Project this June.
My image, taken in Abbotsbury, Dorset, answered answered to the theme of ‘Retreat’. It’s part of my long term project ‘Softness in the Landscape’.
Whilst the conditions were dry when taking this image, had they been different, I know that stumbling across this little hut would have been a very welcoming sight., sheltering myself and perhaps a sheep or two, from the harsh elements.
Denise Myers, an alumni from Newport Doc Phot course like myself, has kindly opened The Little Barn Project in France, for artists looking for space to work / rest / create, for free, in a semi-rural setting.
This exhibition bought 8 of us together, from 5 countries, from various disciplines, to one little barn, all in the name of supporting creative ambitions.
It’s been wonderful to know that a selection of my small prints have sold too; a little encouragement that others are willing to invest in my work.
